Stalling Berger
I read with great interest the article on Gov. Bev Perdue’s choice of the hybrid state-federal exchange for health care, which gives the next administration the flexibility to change. The article also stated that legislation for a state-run exchange passed the House and stalled in the Senate last session. Yet Senate leader Phil Berger has the audacity to deem Perdue’s decision as “not necessary and inappropriate.”
As leader of the Senate, Berger had the opportunity to get this legislation passed, but he failed to do so. Maybe the Senate needs new leadership. At least Perdue can make a decision!
