— Police arrested a man Tuesday on charges that he broke into a woman’s home in the early morning of Nov. 17, raped her and left with $200.

Colonel Mack Woods, 25, of 1404-M Steinbeck Drive in the Treetops Apartments in Raleigh, was charged with second-degree rape, first-degree burglary and larceny after breaking and entering.

Police said in an arrest warrant that he entered the woman’s house between 2:56 and 4:03 a.m. and forced himself on her.

The incident happened on the same street where Woods lives, police said.

Woods was held on $400,000 bail pending a court appearance Wednesday.
