RALEIGH — When police arrested Chiodozie Chukwudi Chukwumah on Tuesday night, they charged he had 212 grams of marijuana in the townhouse where he lived, but that on Oct. 3, they knew he had seven pounds of it.
Two arrest warrants did not disclose how long police had been investigating Chukwumah. Both were obtained Tuesday, with one citing Oct. 3.
Chukwumah, 26, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver it for both dates, conspiracy to sell or deliver the drug on Oct. 3 and maintaining the townhouse as a place to keep drugs Tuesday.
The October warrant listed Chukwumahs residence on Trailwoods Hills Drive, but the charges for Tuesday list it as 4206 Whistler Court and say that is the townhouse.
Chukwumah was being held on a $150,000 bond pending a court appearance Wednesday.
