Yow in a hurry
Have our leaders given up on civility and decency? I am appalled by the manner in which, by my standards, a good and decent man, N.C. State University football coach Tom O’Brien, was dismissed.
I fully appreciate the tenuous nature of the employment of major college coaches and respect Athletic Director Debbie Yow’s prerogative to have the coach of her choice. What sickens me is the way she chose to execute her desire. Civility would have offered O’Brien the opportunity to retire after N.C. State’s bowl game.
It would not surprise me if Yow begins to advocate honking at the car in front of her the instant the light changes to green. A man who graduates every single senior he recruited deserved better.
