KENLY — Residents are being advised to boil their water before using it for drinking, cooking or brushing their teeth, after a water pipe broke Thursday.
The water main break prompted the town to cut off water service to a majority of customers Thursday evening. Service was restored at about 3:45 a.m. today, but the town is urging people to boil their water for at least 3 minutes before consuming, until tests for bacteria have been completed.
The loss of water service did not affect the truck stops, restaurants and other customers at exits 105 and 106 off Interstate 95.
