Slips and slippers

The insert on the Wolfpack’s win over Houston for the NCAA basketball championship in 1983 brought back great memories, but there was one thing sorely missing in the write-ups – that was the comment from WPTF’s Gary Dornberg after Lorenzo Charles dunked the final shot to win the game.

If you remember, as I do well remember, his spontaneous comment was “The glass slipper fits!” as the Cinderella team completed its incredible run to the championship. As far as I am concerned, leaving that out of your coverage made it mundane rather than memorable.
