— Police filed charges against a Fuquay-Varina man Friday for the death of a Burlington woman in an Interstate-440 crash on Monday.

Daniel Myers Williams, 23, of 120 Riding Ridge Road, is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, according to a Raleigh Police Department arrest warrant. Williams turned himself into the Wake County Detention Center and was released on a $1,000 bond on Friday.

Terrisha Lashayle Beasley was one week away from her 23rd birthday when traffic in front of her slowed to stop and her 2004 Volkswagen passenger car was hit from behind by Williams’ 1999 Ford SUV, according to the accident report.

Williams’ SUV was traveling at approximately 55 mph, causing a chain reaction that damaged four more vehicles in front of Beasley’s car.
