Miss Stephanie Louise Thornton and Mr. William Carey Cooper were united in marriage on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at five o'clock in the evening at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. The Reverend David Huffman officiated the double ring ceremony. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at The Doubletree by Hilton.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dillon Thornton of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Perkins, Sr. of Wilmington and Mrs. Tom Thornton and the late Mr. Thornton of Grantham.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Cooper of Garner. He is the grandson of Mrs. Billy Cooper and the late Mr. Cooper of Sidonia, TN and the late Ms. Elizabeth Hutchison and the late Mr. J.R. Hutchison, Jr. of Carurthersville, Mo.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Mrs. Patricia Poole served as Matron of Honor and Miss Kathleen Lynch served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Julie-Kate Cooper and Miss Joyce Cooper, both sisters of the groom.

Mr. Joey Hazelrigg and Mr. Matt Lynch served as Best Men. Groomsmen were Mr. George Thornton, brother of the bride and Mr. John Carey Hutchison, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Mr. Matt Lynch, Mr. Jeremy Rushton, and Mr. Alex Weathersby.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Lucky 32 in Cary.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Willow Spring.
