Katherine Joyce Roach and Ian Watts McCullen of Raleigh were married December 1, 2012, at Main Street United Methodist Church in South Boston, Va. The Reverend Ed Riggs officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at Berry Hill Plantation.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harvey Roach of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Claude Jasper Mabry of Shelby, NC and the late David Wyeth Royster, Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William McGehee Roach.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dewey McCullen of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Cecil Dewey McCullen, Sr. and the late Velma McCullen Isenhour and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Watts, Jr.

Julia Albritton Roach, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Sarah Hefner Patterson served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kelli Suzanne Brooks, Jordan Irwin Hauser, Kimberly Erin Maness, Shannon Dean McCullen, Callaway Collins McKay, Chandler Woodall Norman, Kathryn Dayvault Nowell, Anna West Roach, Quinn Burgin Saleeby, Julia Forbes Thompson, Anne Taylor Underwood and Courtney Page Whilden. Margaret Grace Albritton served as flowergirl. William Holbrook Roach served as ringbearer. Blair Ashley Winter read scripture. Laura Lewis Rogers and Bonnie Raines Thompson were greeters.

Dewey McCullen, father of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Braxton Macaulay Albritton, James Allen Bailey, Gregory Adams Currie Jr., Matthew Joseph Harrell, Roger Lee Perry, Jr., Justin Reilly, Thomas Gordon Roach, William Royster Roach, David Alan Scully, George Milton Small IV, Jerry Lamont Theimer, and Michael Lawrence Theimer.

The bride graduated from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh and Appalachian State University with a degree in Interior Design. She is the North Carolina Sales Representative for Southern Accessories Today.

The groom graduated from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh. After serving as an Air and Missile Defense Crewmember in the United States Army, he graduated with a degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. He is employed with SAS Institute Inc.

After a wedding trip to the West Indies, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
