Road work to obstruct Lake Boone, Wycliff intersection Wednesday night

— The City of Raleigh is going to partially close the intersection of Lake Boone Trail and Wycliff Road to locate a buried manhole and raise it up to street level.

Work will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday and is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Thursday. The left southbound lane of Wycliff Road will be blocked, motorists can turn onto Lake Boone Trail to get around the closure.

The left-hand eastbound lane of Lake Boone Trail will be closed, motorists wishing to turn left onto Wycliff Road will need to continue down and make a safe turnabout at Horton Street, then come back to make a right turn onto Wycliff Road.
