Adair Alexander Calamos and Michael Anderson Blount were married on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at five o'clock in the afternoon at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Raleigh. The Rev. Samuel Gregory Jones officiated. A garden reception was held following the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Craig Calamos of Raleigh. Adair is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Edward Adair of Erwin and the late Dr. William Edward Adair and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander George Calamos of Fredericksburg, VA.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Michael Blount of Spencer, Ms. Rosemary Taylor Beard of Roaring Gap and Mr. Bryce Parker Beard III of Salisbury. Michael is the grandson of Ms. Rosemary Johnson and the late Glenn Charles Taylor, Sr. of Salisbury and of the late Carolyn Miller Blount and the late Harry Anderson Blount, Jr., also of Salisbury.

Jacqueline Leigh Merlano of Raleigh was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Anne Kenan Barnard of Austin, TX, Margaret Rogers Cherry of Kinston, Marion Blount Dees, Gardner Annas Gibson, Anna Renee Prince and Katherine Hart Rogers, all of Raleigh. Honorary bridesmaids were Julie Mercer Blackmon of Atlanta, GA, Laura Catherine Brown, Erin Duke Dillon and Leah Christina Dorsey, all of Raleigh, Susannah Cox Maddux of Macon, GA, Yasemin Tanrikulu of Charlotte and Kristin Caldwell Walters of Denver, CO.

William Taylor Blount of Raleigh was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Bryce Murphy Beard, brother of the groom, of Salisbury, Roger Ashley Black, Charles Collier III and Charles Grey Robinson, all of Raleigh, James Bryant Haynes and Alexander McAlister Worth III, both of Greensboro. Ushers were Alexis SungHi Elder of Hoboken, NJ, and Paul DeLeon Reynolds and Kennon Allen Wainwright, both of Raleigh.

Kathryn Caroline Troxler of Nashville, TN and Allison Scarborough Wieland of Charlotte were program attendants. Tiffany Govenides Gregory and Ivy Elizabeth Sparkman, both of Raleigh, read scripture.

The bride is a graduate of St. Mary's School, NC State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and Meredith College. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club of North Carolina at the 2003 Debutante Ball. She is an interior designer at Model Home Interiors of Durham.

The groom is a graduate of Salisbury High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. He is the Development Manager at the Keystone Corporation in Raleigh.

Following a honeymoon in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple resides in Raleigh.
