Laura Kathleen Cowan and William Stephen Wilson, Jr. were married at five o'clock in the evening on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh. The Reverend Lisa Yubuah officiated. A reception followed at the Renaissance North Hills.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Douglas Cowan of Raleigh. She is the grandaughter of Ralph Henry Long and the late Kathleen Hartis Long of Fayetteville, NC and Gail Colvin Cowan and the late Charles Herman Cowan of Albertville, AL.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stephen Wilson of Zebulon, NC. He is the grandson of Victoria Cole Wilson Rankin and the late William Julius Wilson of Raleigh and the late Josephus Daniel Wrape and Grace Harrison Wrape of Zebulon.

The bride was escorted by her father. Katharine Elizabeth West of Raleigh was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Aiken Barrow, Brittany Shea Owen, Joyce Loraine Pope all of Raleigh, Candice Reid Arnette of Greenville, NC, Sarah Walton Condrey of Delray Beach, FL, Adrienne Michelle Fitch of Wilson, NC, and Lindsey Elyse Howard of Winston-Salem, NC. Junior bridesmaids were Ashton Lee Fowler of Knoxville, TN , Lauren Grace Murray of Wendell, NC, Shelby Elizabeth McDonald and Hannah Marie McDonald of El Segundo, CA.

William Stephen Wilson, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Robert Douglas Cowan, Jr of Raleigh, brother of the bride, Daniel Wayne Murray, Jr. of Wendell, brother of the groom, Aubrey Joseph Pearce and Tyler Stuart Pearce of Zebulon, NC,Justin David Sawyer of Wendell, NC, Thomas Garrett Spencer and Benjamin Williams Talton of Raleigh. Nolan Thomas Clinard of Raleigh served as ringbearer.

Program and guest book atendents were Christen Cora Killian of Charlotte, NC, Sophia Danielle Spencer and Laura Pennington West of Raleigh,. Brian Patrick Rose of Greenville, NC read the scripture.

The bride is a graduate of St. Mary's School and Salem College. She made her debut in 2005 with the Terpsicorean Club. She is employed with The Cowan Group.

The groom is a graduate of East Wake High School and attended Methodist University. He is employed with Char Grill Companies.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and now reside in Zebulon.
