Advair’s safety
As an independent consultant to the life sciences industry and a father who has two kids prescribed Advair, I believe you were negligent to publish the Nov. 25 front-page article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about Advair (“Asthma drug Advair boomed amid risks”). As someone who is very familiar with the data, the combination of medicines in Advair, taken together, are used safely in millions of asthma sufferers around the world.
Based on the article, parents may fearfully discontinue Advair use in their kids and that would actually create a serious danger – 250,000 people died due to asthma last year, almost all of which were avoidable. I expect better research on the details from The N&O.
