Published: December 12, 2012

— Police say the person whose bicycle collided with a pickup truck on N.C. 751 in south Durham was 12-year-old Kassie Graves.

Graves was described as being critically injured when she was taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after the Monday afternoon accident near Calibre Park Drive.

According to police, Graves was riding her bike near the entrance to the Bridges at Southpoint apartment complex and went past a stop sign and into the side of the truck driven by Gary Harris, 59, of Haw River.

Police said Tuesday that they did not expect to file any charges in connection with the accident.
