APEX — Police say they are looking for a man who robbed the Walgreens drug store on West Williams Street without actually entering the building.
Police say a man called the pharmacist just before 10:40 p.m. Wednesday and said he was outside the drive-thru window with a handgun and wanted prescription drugs. The pharmacist placed the drugs in the drive-thru slot, and the man left.
Police describe the man as white, anywhere from in his 30s to his 50s and standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build. The man had light facial hair and was wearing a large black wool jacket and a navy blue or black baseball cap.
