Accident closes northbound I-85 in Durham

Northbound lanes of Interstate 85 were closed near Cole Mill Road in Durham this morning after a traffic accident.

A traffic accident has closed northbound lanes of Interstate 85 near the Cole Mill Road exit in Durham on Friday morning, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation and Durham police.

Police said the accident involved an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck. No details were provided.

Motorists should expect delays in the area, DOT said.
