Fifth-grader is picked for national honors choir

Durham Academy fifth-grader Carl May is among around 300 singers chosen for the 2013 National Honor Choir.

The choir is selected every two years by the American Choral Directors Association. The National Honor Choir will perform at ACDA’s convention in Dallas in March.

Carl, the son of Ted and Elizabeth May, is a member of the Durham Children’s Choir and previously sang in the Durham Academy Lower School Chorus. He lives in Chapel Hill.
