Carly Proctor of Raleigh has earned the Silver Award, the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
For her Silver project, Carly researched, designed and created a website on how individuals can help the ocean and hosted a “Great Sea Slug Beauty Contest” to help disseminate information. She also ran a jewelry-making table using recycled items to discourage littering on the beach.
Carly, the daughter of William and Melody Proctor, is home-schooled and a member of Troop 1537 led by Jodi Butler, Brandy Baker and Rebecca Noble.
