Katherine Frances Gerow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel S. Gerow of Grosse Pointe, MI, was given in marriage to Mr. Scott Hinnant Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jones of Raleigh, NC, on Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Buena Vista, CO. The Reverend Doctor M. Dennis Herman of Raleigh was the officiant for the five o'clock Christian ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father to the Mt. Princeton Meadow where vows were spoken beside the Arkansas River. A joyous Wedding Reception Dinner and Dance was hosted by the bride's parents at the Mt. Princeton Resort Conference Center.

The bride, a 2011 graduate of Colorado State University, holds a BSN degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a BSN in Nursing from The Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She is a licensed RN employed by The Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ann Gerow and the late George Gerow of Grosse Pointe, MI, and the late Frank and Barbara Florek of St. Claire Shores, MI.

The groom, a graduate of The Ravenscroft School in Raleigh and Elon University, holds a BS degree in Business. He completed a Post Baccalaureate Medical Program at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He is nationally EMT certified, employed two years as a Ski Patroller at Copper Mt. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hinnant of Selma, NC, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Seby Jones of Raleigh.

Reader for the ceremony was Mrs. Annemarie Kammann, aunt of the bride. Music was by Jason Jones, Fr. Horn; Karina Crouch, vocalist/guitarist; and Julie Jones, piano.

The Adventurous Wedding Crew attendants were: Maid of Honor, Jenny Gerow of Copper Mt., CO., sister of the bride; Kelly Gillis, Kami Williams of Buena Vista, CO; Karina Crouch, Kristen Andersen of Fort Collins, CO; Shami Entenman of Grosse Pointe, MI; Ellie Herman of Greensboro, NC; and Brianna Olander of Denver, CO. Flower girls were Taylor Grace Williams and Blake Avery Williams of Buena Vista, CO.

Best Man was Jim Jones, father of the groom, Raleigh, NC; Brothers: David Jones, Dallas, TX; Jason Jones, Chapel Hill, NC; Danny Gerow, brother of the bride, Indianapolis, IN; Sean O'Connor, Johnson City, TN; Alex Nickodem, Greensboro, NC; Justin Ray, Greenville, NC; Jeremy Ray, Raleigh, NC; and Will Berry, Denver, CO. Ring bearer was Blake Williams of Buena Vista, CO.

The couple met in college as summer white water rafting guides. They treated their guests to a private rafting trip down the Arkansas River before turning in their life jackets for the outdoor Carolina BBQ Rehearsal Dinner, hosted by the groom's parents at the mountain home of Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Chicowitz.

The adventure continued with a honeymoon in Hawaii. Paddles down, the couple are anchored in Greensboro, NC.
