No place at all
My son has been mentally ill for 40 years. He was in long-term care facilities for 13. He was last in the Cherry long-term building for three years. It was closed. Group homes couldn’t handle him.
And so it fell to me to take him. He is now at the Durham VA because he was poisoning me. They don’t give long-term care there, but they don’t know what to do with him.
We need Dix, and we need Cherry for long-term care patients. The state has sold our seriously mentally ill citizens down the river.
More bad things will happen if North Carolina doesn’t wake up.
