DURHAM — Police arrested a woman on drug charges in connection with a shooting that took place at the residence on Stone Lion Drive Friday.
Shaquila Bumpass, 24, who resides at the same apartment as the victim of the shooting, is charged with five counts of trafficking in cocaine, two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver, two counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances, felony conspiracy and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Her bail is set at $8 million.
No arrests have been made yet in the shooting that left a 38-year-old man hospitalized early Friday, according to police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.
According to a police news release, investigators believe two males armed with guns forced their way into the apartment and shots were fired. They believe the apartment was intentionally targeted, rather than being a random crime.
