APEX — About 15 residents of the Brookridge Assisted Living facility at 312 Lynch St. had to move to a different building after a fire in a utility room Thursday night closed their hall, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Friday, they said.
Other Brookridge residents who had evacuated because of the fire were able to return to their rooms, firefighters said.
