WENDELL — The Wendell Wonderland Light Show has cancelled the rest of its season after equipment was damaged in Thursday night’s windstorm.
The show was scheduled to run until Dec. 31, but the lights and electronics need extensive repairs. The event’s candy store still will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.
The show also is still accepting donations to put toward next year’s show and toward repairing equipment.
The free event moved from Lake Myra to downtown Wendell for the first time this year.
Donations can be made to the Wendell Chamber of Commerce at 115 N Pine Street in Wendell.
