Legislative circus

So is the saga of the access to workers’ comp data telling us how the sausage is really made? It would appear that the sponsoring legislator knew not what he was sponsoring – he had no idea of the impact.

It would appear that the forces behind the issue were non-elected folks from agencies and commissions whose interests were not in accord with those of the general public.

Most amazing, it would appear that all of those groups were brought together to agree to a change, not by the legislator(s), but by yet another non-elected group’s lobbyist.
