I appreciated reading “The tale of twin stars” detailing the ancient mythological derivation of the phrase “By Jiminy,” which my grandfather in Pembroke often would use for emphasis.

After all these years, I learned the fascinating origin and much more about its historical background, thanks to a writer who has demonstrated a true love of where language has traveled over the centuries.
