Angel’s gift grows
Recently, while getting into my car at Walmart on Tryon Road, someone came out of nowhere, put an envelope in my hand, said “Merry Christmas” and took off as fast as lightning.
When I got home, I opened the envelope and found a $50 bill inside.
I thought, “Why did you pick me?” I didn’t need it. Then I knew.
It would “grow” a little bit and go to an angel tree at St. Francis United Methodist Church.
There it would be used for gift certificates for groceries for those who needed them and clothing to keep folks warm. It would be used for special gifts for children who might not have had a visit from Santa this year.
The gift grew and became a blessing. The giver must have been an angel.
