Arthur Edward Reichelt, 84, of Cary, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Mr. Reichelt was born in Hackensack, NJ to Otto G. Reichelt and Madeline Bashauer Reichelt on January 11, 1928. Arthur was a good man who enjoyed time with his family, service to his church, the company of friends and strangers, and the outdoors. Arthur served in the Armed Forces and following service to his country, received a Business Degree from Ohio University. Arthur was a sales engineer for General Motors in both Ohio and Michigan. Arthur was also active during his later years in a leadership position in the local chapter of AARP and with Meals on Wheels.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 11, 2013 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 W. Lochmere Dr., Cary. The family held a private inurnment at Apex Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth M. Reichelt; sons: Gary Reichelt of Cary, Gregory Reichelt of Hamtramck, MI, and Brian K. Reichelt of Royal Oak, MI. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.
