Let parents play
Regarding the Dec. 3 letter “Stay and exercise”: Judging by the adult and child obesity problem – counter to the letter-writer’s suggestion that teachers get training and children stay at school for exercise – maybe children should be released early and go home and play (i.e. exercise) with their parents.
I guess we expect the government to manage this. The No. 1 predictor in children’s exercise is the influence of having parents who do (or don’t).
