For its annual New Year’s Eve concert Monday night, the N.C. Symphony is combining American big band tunes with traditional Viennese waltzes for a toe-tapping evening. Grammy Award-winning guest conductor Jeff Tyzik, along with guest drummer Dave Mancini, perform Tyzik’s arrangements of numbers associated with Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller, as well as favorite waltzes and polkas by the Strauss family.
