  • More information Other highlights: • On Sunday, Rooster’s Wife in Aberdeen hosts bluegrass music’s Entertainer of the Year when the Gibson Brothers return to the stage for two shows which begin at 12:46 and 6:46 p.m. And on Monday, Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys will bring in the New Year at Fletcher Theatre with shows at 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Bluegrass Experience has been burning the flame of traditional bluegrass for 41 years. From their legendary Thursday night gigs at Cat’s Cradle to their crowd-pleasing shows at Northern Ireland’s Appalachian and Bluegrass Music Festival and beyond, the Experience has earned its fans through its brilliant musicianship, an appealing mix of bluegrass standards and original songs, and entertaining stage presence. On Monday, the band returns to Sanford’s Temple Theatre for its annual New Year’s Eve show.
