Chapel Hill police release photos of Franklin Street shooting suspects

— Chapel Hill police have released photos of three suspects wanted in connection with a shooting Tuesday in the University Square parking lot on Franklin Street.

One person was shot around 3:30 a.m. after an argument inside the Time-Out restaurant moved to the parking lot, police spokesman Lt. Kevin Gunter said. The person’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, he said.

The three suspects are described as light-skinned black males, at least one with his hair in braids. One wore a Nike cap, and another wore a gray hoodie. The shooter may have been wearing a red jacket, police said.

Police did not provide any other descriptive details about the victim or the suspects, such as weight, height or other clothing.
