The best theater picks, Jan. 4

Published: January 3, 2013

The recently formed theater company South Stream Productions stages “Copenhagen” this weekend at Durham’s Common Ground Theatre (and at Carrboro ArtsCenter next weekend). “Copenhagen” is Michael Frayn’s drama about German physicist Werner Heisenberg’s 1941 visit to Danish physicist Niels Bohr.

That meeting was private, but Frayn speculates on how it affected the war and the development of the atomic bomb. 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 7 p.m. Sunday. $12-$15. 919-417-2477; southstreamproductions.blogspot.com.
