Rhonda Smith Curtright: Tata’s second chance

Tata’s second chance

As a parent of school-age children, I’m very happy North Carolina is giving Tony Tata a second chance to work hard for the people here. As superintendent of Wake County Public Schools, he was a man who led by example. Raleigh is a place he clearly cares deeply for, a place he now calls home.

My hope is we can all find it in our hearts in 2013 to truly listen to all sides. May 2013 be about getting involved, being informed and then guiding our leaders in constructive ways so progress is made. Conversations that include differences are welcome debate when done right. This is how we come together and differences become opportunity for good, clear direction that benefits us all.
