GARNER — A Wake County couple were found dead early Saturday morning by police responding to call about a shooting at a home outside Garner.

Wake County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Phyllis Stephens said deputies were called to 708 Colonial Drive just after 12:30 a.m. They found Jose Samuel Flores Mendoza and Maria Saravia Mendoza, both 34, dead.

Both had been shot. The couple have two children, aged 3 and 12, and the younger child was at the home at the time.

No other information was available late Saturday, Stephens said.
