Dayna Wells of Raleigh has earned the Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
For her Gold project, Dayna traveled to Guatemala with a mission team and established a dental clinic there. She distributed toothbrushes and toothpaste to about 500 children, administered fluoride to them and discussed with them the importance of good dental hygiene and instructions for proper tooth brushing.
Dayna, the daughter of Dave and Donna Wells, is a senior at Millbrook High School and a member of Troop 776, led by Amy Bailey and Donna Wells.
