Mr. and Mrs. Phillip E. Rhodes of Raleigh announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth of New Bern to James Shepard Harris of New Bern. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tyler B. Harris Sr. of New Bern. A wedding is planned for October 5, 2013 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Raleigh.
