No limit to absurdity
If the absurdity of the NRA’s proposal to end gun violence by putting armed security guards in every school, or even every classroom, in the country wasn’t apparent to some, consider the gun murders in Webster, N.Y.
Extending the NRA’s logic, we’ll now require an armed security guard to enter each burning building first to assure it is safe for the firefighters.
And a police officer in Bellaire, Texas, was killed recently when making a routine traffic stop. So much for the NRA’s assertion that it takes a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun. Maybe they’ll want to add a security guard to every police cruiser to protect the police officers.
