RALEIGH — A string of auto accidents Friday morning on rainy Interstate westbound caused police to close two lanes, which backed up commuter traffic.
The accidents were between Hammond and Rock Quarry roads and began about 7:30 a.m.
No serious injuries were reported.
Police were trying to determine how many accidents had occurred because the incidents were close to one another, and some were reported multiple times.
