‘Bad penny’ turns up

What was Gov.-elect Pat McCrory thinking when he appointed Tony Tata as Transportation secretary of N.C.?

Recently fired as superintendent of Wake County Public Schools, Tata couldn’t even get Wake County school buses to run efficiently enough to get our children to their schools at the beginning of this school year.

We taxpayers footed the bill for the generous payout he received from the Wake County school board, but we were thankful to be well rid of him.

However, it seems Tata is like a “bad penny” that just keeps turning up – and now at the state level. Transportation secretary, of all things – give me a break!
