Tap dancer performs in Washington

Breanna Polascik of Chapel Hill was one of seven dancers from around the country selected by audition to perform the tap piece “Extraordinary Machine!” last month at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

The performance was part of “JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance,” the first full-length tap show in the Kennedy Center.

Breanna, a junior at Durham Academy, is the daughter of Tom Polascik and Sharon Fekrat.
