Mr. and Mrs. John Folckemer of Holly Springs, NC, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Ann Folckemer to Michael Troy Spencer, son of Susan Craig Spencer and the late John Steven Spencer of Charlotte, NC. A Sept. 14, 2013 wedding is planned at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, NC. Melissa is the granddaughter of Ray and Nelda Fulghum of Raleigh, NC and the late Clarence and Alice Folckemer of Asheville, NC. She earned a B.A in Developmental/Clinical Psychology from Peace College in Raleigh, NC in 2010. She is currently the Programs Director for Doing My Part, Incorporated in Charlotte, NC. Mike is the grandson of the late Dan and Helen Craig of Gastonia, NC and the late Troy and Jane Spencer of Landenberg, PA. He is a 2005 graduate of UNC Wilmington and earned his B.S. in Communications and Foreign Language Studies. Mike is the Co-Founder and President of the non-profit, Doing My Part, Incorporated, and a New Home Sales Consultant for Epcon Communities.
