April Lynn Flythe and John Wallace Taylor, both of Raleigh, were wed on December 31, 2012 at half past seven in the evening at All Saints Chapel in Raleigh. Mr. Nelson Martin Eason Bonney Reveley, friend of the couple, officiated. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the couple's home, the J.T. Moore House, in Raleigh.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Magnus Thomas Flythe, Jr. of Seaboard, NC. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace W. Stephenson of Severn, NC and the late Mr. and Mrs. M. Thomas Flythe of Seaboard, NC. The bride is a 2003 graduate of Northeast Academy. She received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from North Carolina State University and a Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2010. She is employed with the Wake County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney and District Court Supervisor.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wallace Taylor of Richmond, VA. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Kellam of Mount Hope, WV, and Orlando, FL and the late Jack N. Keatley of Mount Hope, WV and the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Taylor of Huntington, WV. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Woodberry Forest School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from North Carolina State University and is employed as a Certified Financial Planner with Scott & Stringfellow in Raleigh.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Jamie Flythe Lassiter, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor and Anne Keatley Taylor, sister of the groom, served as Maid of Honor. Greeters were Brooke Lauren Baragona, Mariana Molina DeWeese, Victoria Nicole Franklin, Mary Myers Hazelgrove, Parker Chesnutt Honeycutt and Kristi Nicole Strawbridge.
Mr. Thomas Wallace Taylor served as his son's best man. Ushers were Jerod Daniel Allen, Bryan Francis Kennedy IV, Charlie Walker Morris Jr., Robert Bryan Syfan Rieck, and John Reilly Zimmerman. A prayer was given by Lyles Benjamin Webster.
After a wedding trip through the French Polynesian islands, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
