Julia Claire Sandling and Todd Warren Hixson of Raleigh were married November 24, 2012 at The Angus Barn Pavilions. The Reverend Lindsey Williams officiated. Music before the ceremony was provided by Jonathan Snell-Callanen, cousin of the bride. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner reception, with music provided by GrooveTown.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gery Thomas Sandling of Raleigh. She graduated from Broughton High School and NC State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Eugene Hixson of Raleigh. He graduated from Broughton High School and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is employed with SAManage.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Sarah Wood was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Kelley Brackett, Annie Elam, Tessa Leach, Meredith McCanless, and Jennifer Walker. Mary-Knowles Hixson, daughter of the groom, was the flower girl. Program attendants were Brandy Duncan, Hannah Earp, Heather Smith, and Mandy Vick.

Kristopher Hixson, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Jeremy Limerick, Todd Phelps, Samuel Smith, Brian Vick, and Michael Young. Luke Callanen, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Angus Barn.

Mr. and Mrs. Hixson enjoyed a honeymoon trip to Mexico and now reside in Raleigh.
