Same ol’ Dix
What a wonderful idea to turn the Dix property into a lovely New York-style central park!
I’m sure all the business owners around Moore Square who have been agitating for the disappearance of Raleigh’s mentally ill and homeless folks will be delighted when these poor unfortunate souls find sweet refuge on comfortable park benches and luscious lawns in the new Dix Park.
Isn’t it interesting how the more things change, the more they stay the same? Yes, the park is a great idea. Our most vulnerable citizens will return to the home they have known so well for over 150 years, and they will have the same beautiful view of the Raleigh skyline from up on the hill! They just won’t have a roof over their heads or access to food and transportation.
