Missed tea time

Regarding the Dec. 27 article “Tea time for Rex patients”: I just spent the week over Christmas at Rex as a patient and would just have loved to have been given the opportunity to have afternoon tea.

It was hard to spend Christmas away from family and friends, but the tea would have been a nice break.

The Rex board did go around and give everyone a small white bear, which was appreciated. This bear spent the majority of his time in bed with me. I thank them very much for their kindness.

My husband was the only one of my family close enough to visit, and he couldn’t be there all the time. Tea would have been a very nice distraction. I guess I was on the wrong floor.
