Durham County sheriff’s investigators are asking for help identifying two men in an armed robbery of the Speed EEZ convenience store at 7:22 p.m. Monday.
The two men, one armed with a shot gun and the other with a pistol, held the store clerk at gunpoint as they emptied the cash register. The clerk was unharmed.
Investigators think the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle after completing the robbery.
The first suspect, who was armed with a shotgun, is described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build weighing 130 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a black coat with a hood, a scarf over his face and dark-colored pants.
The second suspect, who was armed with a pistol, is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall to 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build weighing 150 to 170 pounds. He is also wearing dark clothing with a hood and a scarf over his face.
