Intolerable raises

When the unemployment rate is higher than ever before, the needy and ill are receiving less from the government and our school budget is being sliced, how dare our new governor have the audacity to raise the salaries of all those wealthy men to whom he is indebted for winning the election. How can we in our presumably great state tolerate this?
