Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Kennedy Fuller of Cary, North Carolina announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandra Alyse Fuller, to John Alexander Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Phillip Thompson of Gainesville, Georgia. A June wedding is planned.

Ms. Fuller is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony James Beatrice (deceased) of Beaufort, South Carolina and Dr. and Mrs. Henry Fleming Fuller (deceased) of Kinston, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is presently serving the Alzheimer's Association-Georgia chapter of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Thompson is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Alexander Taylor of Gainesville, Georgia and Tampa, Florida and Mr. Richard Nathan Thompson (deceased) and Mrs. Leta Louise Thompson of Kalkaska, Michigan. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University, North Georgia College and University and is a doctoral student in History at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
