Garinger High School will get a new science building in 2014. On Tuesday the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board approved a $10.3 million construction contract that also includes renovations to the gym and locker rooms.

The board also approved a $3 million contract for renovations at East Mecklenburg High, including better lighting and sound systems for the auditorium. Ann Doss Helms
