The high-speed lanes on both sides of Interstate 85 will be closed near Sugar Creek Road on Wednesday night for road work, the N.C. Department of Transportation says.

The DOT says the left lanes will be closed from about 9 p.m. to midnight near Exit 41. Crews will be working on lights, just south of the Sugar Creek Road bridge. The lanes will be reopened by midnight, authorities say.

Motorists are urged to use caution while driving in the area.
